“Sam Hill is an American English slang phrase, a euphemism or minced oath for “the devil” or “hell” personified (as in, “What in the Sam Hill is that?”). Etymologist Michael Quinion and others date the expression back to the late 1830s;[1][2] they and others[3] consider the expression to have been a simple bowdlerization, with, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, an unknown origin”.

SAM HILL is also the name of the BX rhyme slinger who spits in unique pockets, has a penchant for penning tales of inner city despair, and maintains a certain consistency with his material (IF ANYONE HAS A MP3 OF EXTREME WORDPLAY PLEASE SEND IT THROUGH)…

Head over to his Reverbnation spot to snatch up the “Sam I Am” compilation to start your Friday off correctly…

KOTB just released a new line under the moniker DIGGERS….If you are on the hunt to add more B Boy ammo to your wardrobe, I highly suggest that you check in..

“So here it is, I have created the DIGGERS Boot. No more corporate kicks for me. I will have to just wear what I got left in my collection. For my self I want to have some fun with product.

This is the sales pitch.. The boot costs £100, it comes with a DIGGERS BRANDED Sweat shirt only available with the boot plus a Diggers 45’. A breakbeat or groove dug out by yours truly and sometimes some very special guests. If that’s not a cosmic idea I don’t know what is”.

COP HERE…

Whenever I hear a beat done on a SP-1200 I can tell instantly by the gritty 8 bit frequencies it gives off…Something about that machine makes my ears instantly perk up..

UK’s own M9 flips some intricate wordplay on lo-fi SP production from LOOP HOLES on “Colors”…Cop the vinyl pieces HERE….

A couple months back I read a interview where KRUMBSNATCHA stated that he had hung up his mic and he planned to retire from the booth….It appears as if he got his mojo back and he has a new joint out entitled “I Never Fail” with New Jerz beatsmith KEITH SCIENCE on the boards….FRESH.

PEEP..

It’s been a minute since I heard anything from TRIFE DIESEL so I was excited to spot that he had a new Ep out (Diesel Fluid)…

He is still sharp with his bars but the project is plagued with questionable beats to say the least…..

HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD TOP PICK – “Indigo”….

DJ EMSKEE has over 150 mixes at his podcast spot – the “50 Pound Golden Age Chinese Stars” mix caught my immediate attention due to the somewhat under the radar selections…

I’m back on the real hip hop tip. Here’s a mix of some lost remixes and other off the grid raw, classic underground hip hop from the nyc underground from a 2 year span of 1993 to 1995. Hardcore analog butter all the way through. Bump it!!

*Gotta salute these brothers for flipping the classic Rakim cover art the correct way..

The controversial Hip Hop documentary “Founding Fathers” hit the net a couple days ago..Regardless if you agree with everything presented in the film, you should give it your undivided attention if you consider yourself a dedicated Hip Hop student…

RUNNING TIME:75 MINUTES.

Big salute to my manz SHA ONERZ for pointing me in the right direction..

If your in the mood for some groove morale – give this ALOHA GOT SOUL (7 Deadly Spins 45) mix a thorough listen…

“Now, a very special treat for you all the way from Hawaii: Roger Bong is the guy behind a great website all about Hawaiian jazz, funk, soul, and rare grooves, and is the latest guest to provide an exclusive 7-inch vinyl mix for our Seven Deadly Spins segment…

Bong moved to Hawaii when he was 7—that’s a bit spooky for our mix series, isn’t it? And he got more heavily into the island sounds via DJ Muro’s Hawaiian Breaks mix. But now he is a complete nut for the stuff himself”.

WOW…

I was excited when I spotted that OUTLOUD (Blahzay Blahzay fame) had some new material on deck…It’s been awhile since I heard anything from the rugged rhyme slinger from east New York so I had high hopes..

But when I hit the play button on the “Best Of The Best” video I was appalled from jump street…

WHAT PART OF THE GAME IS THIS ?

After giving the first shot from the new MAYHEM LAUREN & BUCKWILD collabo a thorough listen (Silk Shirts & Yellow Gold), I am totally convinced these two have a heater on their hands…

Be on the lookout for the full length SILK PYRAMIDS in the near future duke!
