" Sucka Of The Week " Felli Fell

Remember back in the day when “M.C. Hammer”, had a K.F.C. commercial and he was dancing like some type of idiot for a nice 2 piece?…..That shit had me spazzing out back then……Now in 2008 we have L.A.’s Power 106 D.J. “Felli Fell”, scratching for McDonalds……Some fools will say,” Your a hater, atleast he is getting his papers”……How low will dudes go to get a little cake?……….And if your going to play yourself for McDonalds, atleast bust some halfway descent scratches……Dude is busting some ol’e Eric B cuts.. ……..We are in Cali man, Q-Bert and all them other dudes raised the bar a decade ago…….Why are you cutting like a god damn sucka?
"Wax Weapons 4" , Pete Rock Edition..
“Wax Weapon 4” live from Vietnam, California ……………..This mix is all instrumental Pete Rock bangers……….Some new, some older, but all of the beats have that Pete Rock soul power in them……..I didn’t include my favorite Pete Rock beat of all time, the “Shut Em’ Down rmx”……..Maybe next time…..Until then, peep this freestyle mix…..
" Golden State Warrior "

The first time I met Saafir he was suprised how much of his music I was familiar with……..We talked for hours about the current state of Hip Hop, his old crew {Hobo Junction}, Dream One, and all types of other shit………..At the time he was finishing the touches on one of his newest releases, {The Transition} ABB records……….He was in good spirits, and you could tell that Hip Hop is a major part of his life……….Here is some footage of him rocking dolo in 1995………Anybody remember that Hiero-Hobo Junction battle……….Classic shit…..
" One Of Canada’s Illest "

Maestro Fresh Wes is ill…….As a Hip Hop artist from Canada it is hard to break into the U.S. market…..Few have done it A-Trak, Obscure Disorder, Raskalz, Checkmate, Kardinall Official, etc……..But Wes was the first to breakthrough in 1988…….He was even an extended member of DITC, and was blessed with some dope beats from Showbiz……….Salute to you Wes, for being the first M.C. I have ever seen wreck a mic wearing a tuxedo……….
" Check The Tech "

Tired of cornball rap mags that are as entertaining as a Bone Thugs N Harmony reunion? Getting bored of “Hip Hop sites” that are more concerned with advertising than interesting content?………Sick of lame blogs that rarely update, but when they do the music they upload is usually some ol’e bullshit……Ahhhhh……….Go grab a book to read stupid………This book ” Check The Technique” { Brian Coleman } should hold your attention…….It’s an expanded version of his other book ” Rakim Told Me”……He interviews 2 Live Crew, M.O.P., De La, Mobb Deep, UltraMag, Ice-T, and many others…..But what’s so fly about it, is that it’s all based around album studio sessions…….Kool Keith talks about Ultra’s mind frame during “Critical Beatdown’s”recording….Fredro Star reminisces about the first time he played demos for J.M.J……….Poor Righteous Teachers reveal why they beat up on Tony D……….There are a lot of interesting stories captured in this book…Check for it….
" Big Hutch Is A Free Man "

Big Hutch from ” Above The Law “, was released from prison recently after serving a 2 year stint for conspiracy to traffic 1000 pounds of marijuana…………….I am looking forward to hearing new music from him…..Above The Law were true west coast originals………The first 2 albums they put out are bonafied classics in my opinion….They changed the way people made records, {point blank}….Producers started using more live instrumentation, everyone started saying “balling”, etc……….Big Hutch’s uncle “Willie Hutch”, did the soundtrack for the “Mack”, and even recorded for Motown for a period……….So Big Huch has the funk in his genes………………If you look closely at the clip below, you can spot “D.J. Train” R.I.P. in the beginning of the video…..
