The School Of Sharks crew consist of Lex Boogie, Huey P. Capone, and Marq Spekt……On their newest offering, “Four Seasons” they keep things extra ugly just the way we like it over here on HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD….
Damn, this is raw……….DO NOT SLEEP.
Produced by Lex Boogie…
Are you folks ready for some official soul power ?
Mebusas only put out one album “Blood Brothers”, but they managed to make a impact with their brand of heat…..Turn the volume to ten, and prepare yourself for a round of heavy grooves….
“Kwashioko”
Many are aware of Bazooka Joe’s prowess behind the wheels of steel, but it appears as if Joe has been spending some “get it in” time behind the boards as well…..
“Pressure Bust Pipes” features an all star line up of M.C’S flexing their skills over Joe’s production chops…….Give it a listen…

Damn, I can’t even front ya’ll……My batteries are so charged up from this last weekend, I feel as if I am ready to really go in extra heavy this year…While many complain that Hip Hop is in a state of emergency, I know for a fact Hip Hop is stronger than ever…
Last Friday I had the opportunity to spin at the “Aero Soul 2” jam that popped off in downtown Oakland…….All types of heads showed up, young and old for a night of true talent, dedication, graff, originality, and of course much fun….
Big shout out to Refa, Kufu, Planet, Daze, Cheebie, Fooderz, Daze, Prize, Bode, Sha, Chain 3, Mode 2, Toons, Stan 153 (Thank you for the vibes), Sak, Apex, Crayone, SF’Z’S, Kade, Mad Hatter, Spek, Phade (Shirt Kingz), Phresh, Spie, Estria, Tean, Akse Born (Your a funny dude-keep those flames burning kid), Mark Bode, Chorboogie, DJ 12’s (HAHAHA), Ground Level, Mannie, Mark 7 (Your nasty son), Brave, and everyone else that came through to blaze the block up…..
Here are some photos for ya’ll that couldn’t make it out…..
* Shirt King Phade & myself checking in………
*The man of mystery, “Mode 2” getting his outline together…..What up Mode…….While I was spinning I threw on a JVC Force track that made him come up and give me the salute…HAHAHAH…….
*Mark 7 /L2S/ cold rocking the spot with jewels….What up Mark…
*King Cre8 outline madness…
*TOWN BIZ…..
* Planet, style king “Chain 3”, and myself lamping in the place to be…..BLAM, BLAM…
*The legend Stan 153…..Damn, your a cool brother…..Thank you for “putting it in” famo…..
*Slave crushing……
*Rem 311 R.I.P…….This piece is from 1984 and it still slays most of the toys out there…

*Marsah YNN…….BROOKLYN STAND UP…..
*OAKLAND IS ON FIRE KID…….
*YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS….
I could keep posting pics all day from the event, but I have to keep it moving……Thanks again to Refa & Kufu for changing the fucking game…..TNS/TCB/OR-X/GFC/ and now you cats are rocking that TMT shit…..Nuff respect to you brothers for the inspiration and dedication……
*Refa One- TRUE STYLE SUPREMACY…….
Those Conspiracy Radio dudes are back on the set with another show packed with goodies….Pete Rock, Showbiz, Smoke DZA, Virtuoso, Nottz, and MC Eight this time around folks…WHEW….
Some of the musical selections are somewhat questionable, but with a interview line up like this I can’t complain…..CHECK IN…
What’s going on out there Hip Hop Battlefield posse ?…..
Is this crazy work week taking it’s toll on you ? If it is, I have exactly what you need to help raise your morale levels…..D.J. Andy Smith brings an hour of 45 funk/soul scorchers to the table (Digging In The BGP Vaults)….I can promise you that after listening to this from beginning to end, you will get put under some type of heavy spell…HAHA…
YOU KNOW THE DRILL….
Check out this mix that Prince Paul put together before he dropped the classic, “Psychoanalysis” album…….He runs through this session in a chronological order that will make you realize how much material he has produced over the years….
I also have to mention that he includes cuts that were never commercially released…..
In the past I wasn’t much of a watch type of dude….And then one day I spotted a fly boom box watch courtesy of Flud Watches that had me bugging out….
No ice, no corny colors just pure original flavor……I copped one about a year ago for a hundred bucks and then all of the sudden my life took a turn for the better….SERIOUSLY….Everywhere I go motherfuckers are quick to say, “Where and the hell did you get that watch”……Or, “Does your watch actually play music” HAHAHA….
Something about this watch has the females catching the vapors as well….I already knew ladies loved the accessories and all that, but I never had a clue they would flip out like this…
If you think I am bullshitting cop one of these yourself and conduct your own social experiments……
*This special edition Roc Raida joint is wild…..R.I.P.
It’s a challenge sorting through all the music that I get sent to me on the regular….But what’s even more challenging is finding material that is actually worthy of Hip Hop Battlefield shines……
I’m not asking for much: A little originality never hurt, fresh beats, convincing rhymes, etc….
The good folks over at Doxide Music Group sent me this project by IMAKEMADBEATS & D.J. Traumatix (IMAKEMADMIXTAPES) that caught my attention…

Yeah man this is some extra raw shit right here…..
PEEP..
A wise man once told me, “A real D.J. does real things kid”…….HAHAHAHA….
So I decided to push the record button while flipping through some of the crates earlier today…..Instead of rocking the vocal versions I went back to the original recipe of what Wax Weapons was all about : Fly instrumentals….
Sometimes I get tired of all that wierdo shit dudes be yelling….It’s good to let the beats knock every once in awhile and catch a zone without lyrics attached to it (Ya Feel Me)…
