” Lord Finesse : Cratery 71 “
Check out the latest episode of CRATERY (Arcee, Kaewonder, and Serious) with LORD FINESSE……Please do not sleep…
“On his favourite DITC productions:
Showbiz:
“Still Diggin” is one of my fave Show joints [sings horn loop]. “Fat Pockets” remix too. Classic.Diamond D:
I’mma say that Alkaholiks remix for “Next Level”. That was different than the other Diamond stuff that was out at the time. That one stuck out to me.Buckwild:
It’s a tie. I gotta say “Masta IC” Mic Geronimo”. How he put it together that was just abstract – from the drums to the loop. But I love how he hooked up that Organized Konfusion joint “Why” too. So I gotta mention that.On the potential for an upcoming Lord Finesse album:
Hopefully later this year. Maybe Fall/Winter. I’m not a summer dude. I want everyone locked in the house listening. I done went through beats. I got like 4 joints solidified. But I don’t think I’ve done my best work yet. I’m just developing a sound right now. I’m taking my time. I don’t care about clubs, radio, I just care about making something that can compete.
Here then, is our Cratery episode with the one and only Lord Finesse.”

” Pretty Tone Capone For President “
I’m going to keep the 1991 theme rocking today…
Back in 1991 the Source Magazine released the “MAD FLAVOR VOL.1” promotional comp sampler…There are some dope tracks on this joint amongst very questionable, sappy R&B cuts that get on my god damn nerves…
HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD TOP PICKS – Pretty Tone Capone – “Cant Talk Too Long On The Telephone”, Hard Knocks – “Nigga 4 Hire”, Cookie Crew – “Secrets”, Two Kings In A Cypher – “For The Brothers Who Aint Here”, Godfather Don – “Groove Ya”, PRT- “Self Styled Wisdom”…
” DJ Yess & D.Crime – Time 4 Action “
Years before REDMAN rocked the “Time 4 Action” steez, the roughneck duo from the UK (DJ YESS & D.CRIME) already flipped the same title with impressive results in 1990/1991..
*Classic footage on deck..
Peace to all the HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD readers in the UK..Stand the fuck up!!

” New Shit On Deck “
Another Bornday shout goes out to MLK for trying to remain civilized amongst uncivilized behavior…Unfortunately 2015 resembles the 60’s in a myriad of ways regarding race relations in America….Don’t get it twisted – some things have changed, but we still have a LONG way to go before his dream will become reality…
Alright, I will save all that for another day….Here is some brand new 2015 heat – MIC HANDZ & GENERAL STEELE link up over ROC MARCIANO production on “Frontline”…Fresh is the word troopers..

” Rock Steady Steez “
Grab your Red Stripe and take a listen to this “TRIBUTE TO ROCK STEADY” mix by King Waggy Tee if you know what’s best for you troop…
“King Waggy Tee earned the title of “King” by winning a prominent challenge entitled Florida’s Selector Clash 3 years in a row. This was an annual contest where the audience judged the criteria of a selector’s ability including BEST SELECTIONS, BEST STYLE, BEST EXECUTION & BEST PERFORMANCE for the night. This event was comparable to the likes of World Clash. The winner was crowned KING for that year. He also clashed & played alongside sounds like Body Guard, David Rodigan, Afrique, Inner City, Metro Media, Addies, Bass Oddysey, Stone Love, Renaissance, Poison Dart, Tony Matterhorn, Black Chiney, Code Red, Richie D and more.
King Waggy Tee has played at many of clubs in his hometown of Miami. He has always managed to keep the dance floor filled for over a decade at popular events that he played at. He has managed to maintain the title of the main attraction at most of the events he has worked up to date. He boasts the ability to play the whole night and consistently holds it down by himself. This has been proven to be true on many occasions. Today, he has partnered up with Scotch Bonnett, “a hype man” who works every Friday on WEDR. Over the years, Waggy has played at notorious hot spots like The Hungry Whale, Club Manhattan, the world famous 5th Street on South Beach , Strawberry’s in Hialeah, Club Castle, CoCo Bongo’s on South Beach, Lime Kendall, Cameo in Miami Beach, Planet Reggae, Deco Drive in Hollywood, Peppers in Ft Lauderdale , Da Palace, and Naked. Today, Waggy Tee schedule includes playing music in international arenas including the islands of the Caribbean, Europe and Japan. He still maintains his commitment to the South Florida FM waves each & every Friday night.”
