" More Rockets On The Battlefield "
This mix session by KZSU’s “DJ Wicked” (The same DJ Wicked that released a very fresh comprehensive Buckwild mix a few months back) will help you maintain your Hip Hop morale…
Nothing but nonstop action that will perk your god damn ears up…If you think I am bullshitting- peep the playlist that features Bay Area burners…….
I also have to mention that “Wicked” includes the famous battle between Hiero & Hobo Junction in it’s entirety…Classic shit indeed…Can’t believe it has been 16 years since that battle took place…….
DO NOT SLEEP…

" Showbiz – Barbarian Beats "
Thanks to my fam Donalski for putting me up on this new beat tape by Showbiz….
I’m not going to even front, I had no idea that this came out…..After listening to this in it’s entirety I had to give this the official HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD stamp of approval…
Showbiz is still that dude fuck what ya heard….
" Blog Shots 55 "
When it comes to blogging about Hip Hop music it seems as if there are three different types of characters…
1..”REAL LIVE DUDES”…
This is the cat that actually participates in the art of music making……They have rocked stages, blessed cyphers, hit the yards, and put the work in….
Music is usually not a hobby for them, it’s an obsession that motivates each and every part of their day in some shape, form, or fashion,…..
On occasion they decide to post something up for the world to see, not for the sake of stroking their own ego but for the purpose of sharing and creating dialogue with like-minded individuals….
2..”HIP HOP GOOGLE GEEKS”…
You know the type…….Dudes that try to over intellectualize every aspect of Hip Hop and act like self-righteous robots…..The funniest thing about these types is that when you ask them to show and prove in ANY aspect of the Hip Hop elements, they can’t deliver the goods…..
Don’t get it twisted……Hip Hop needs straight up fans that do not actively participate in the art form…But some of these bench warmers need to have a little more discretion when throwing out some of their cornball opinions if they don’t have the skills to back it up….
3..”Hip Hop Schmucks”
With all this access to so much music, why would you post up the exact same shit as the next man on the REGULAR……Is it because your lazy ? Or maybe it’s because you are a dick rider without your own convictions or opinions….
I’m still trying to figure these types out……
“Only Built For Z Share Links” is a fresh blog created by Step One that definitely falls into the number one category…..One of the post that caught my attention was the interesting compilation of Doo Wop highlights (The Best Of the Bouncemaster)….

" Live From Headquarters – 06/03/2011 "
Those crazy dudes from Brooklyn the Beatminerz invade Premier’s “Live From Headquarters” radio show, for two hours of newness, doubles, and heavy doses of comedy….
And if your still not satisfied- you can tune into their U Stream show for nonstop activity….Make sure you tell them that the grimy dude from HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD sent you jack !!!!!!
" All Cuts Recorded Raw "
Diggers With Gratitude are excepting pre-orders for Phil Most Chill’s “All Cuts Recorded Raw” double L.P……All material recorded between 1987-1990…..
While your at it, peep the snippets and let the beats rock….
DWG008 – PHILL MOST CHILL – ALL CUTS RECORDED RAW SNIPPETS – JUNE 2011 by Diggers With Gratitude
" For Those That Like To Groove, Part 18 "
On this beautiful Sunday evening I have been listening to this mix by D.J. Blue Water (Kings & Aces)..
WHEW…
Over an hour of special herbs and spices for your domepiece….I wish I had a tracklisting, but trust me when I tell you that this is no joke…
If your in the mood for some heavy grooves- scoop this up with a quickness…
" Breaks For Days Radio – 06/ 04/ 11 "
Straight out of London comes the latest radio broadcast from “Daily Digger”, Kid Dyno……You won’t hear any cornball selections, just vinyl treats that will put you in the right zone….
This is what “D” had to say regarding this session…
“Here’s another dose of breaks beats and samples from the DAILY DIGGERS record crates to put a little pep in your step this summer weekend. This time there’s almost ninety minutes of fun(k) starting off with an early 90s hip hop selection including LORD FINESSE, KRS ONE, TRIBE, DIAMOND D, KOOL G RAP, ROXANNE SHANTE and DA KING & I. And as usual half way through we flip the script and switch to breaks and samples with records from LES McCANN, BILL DEAL, HENRY MANCINI, THE GODFATHER JAMES BROWN and DAVID AXELROD amongst others. Are y’all ready??”
" Comedy Relief "
I’m growing tired of all these movie remakes…..
It’s 2011 folks….Don’t you want to see new concepts, new actors, new ideas……
Tron, Green Lantern, and now I hear they are going to rework “Juice” with that fool Soulja Boy playing Tupac…….Are you fuckin serious ?
What’s next- Kid Cudi playing Ice Cube on the 2011 version of “Boys In The Hood?”…..GTFOH…
Mr. J-Zone recently wrote a post dismantling the whole idea..Funny indeed….
" Buckwild On The Beats "
The more Buckwild beats, the better……
“Coinciding with the release of 2010′s Celph Titled and Buckwild collaborative LP, Nineteen Ninety Now, comes Buck’s Wildest Beats, a collection of classic Buckwild productions and remixes from the 90′s, along with a few non-album tracks from the sessions with Celph Titled. Hosted by Celph Titled, mixed by DJ Pizzo.”
" Soul Brother Number One "
Gil Scott Heron, Michael Jackson, and James Brown gone..Sometimes it feels as if the motherfuckin world is coming to an end…..
I can remember the devastating news just like it was yesterday…..I was on a little vacation and I decided to stop by my parents house for a night before heading back to Vietnam, California……At 4:00 o’clock in the morning pops woke me up and said he wanted to talk….
“Damn, pops what’s up man I’m right in the middle of some well deserved sleep, what’s going on”….He replied, “I’m sorry to tell you this, but James Brown passed away this morning”……
He had this look in his eye that I have never seen before..It was a look that reflected true pain, true confusion, true uncertainty…
Pops was obsessed with James Brown….I’m not talking about admiration, I’m talking about straight up obsession….
What the fuck does this have to do with HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD ?
I recently peeped this compilation by “Scratch Reaction” that rocks all James Brown samples……..DO NOT SLEEP..

" More Heat On Deck "
The Preserving The Culture crew is back in the house with more treats up their sleeve…..Lord Ron (UZN) & Ready Cee keep the Hip Hop morale up with this latest mix (Elements Of Fire & Earth)….
Do the right thing and give it a listen…..
" Digging With Drasar – Crate Damage Edition "
Man, where do I begin….
I’m finally recovering from my weekend shenanigans…..Sunday night Mobb Deep got busy at the Mezzanine (SF)…..This was the first time I have seen the Mobb and I was truly impressed (Big Noyd even showed up)..
The crowd was full of grimy dudes like myself….You could cut the tension in the air with a butter knife…..SERIOUSLY….Ice grills, copious amounts of blunt steam in the air, fitteds extra low, dudes rocking dark sunglasses indoors, neck tattoos, sloppy drunkards, and all that other wild shit…..
When “Shook Ones 2” started blasting out the speakers this girl directly in front of me straight up fainted…….I’m not talking about a gradual meltdown fam…..Homegirl just dropped to the floor like a sack of potatoes out of nowhere…..BLAM….
Good show though…..The Mobb is still in full motherfuckin effect that’s for sure (Big up to Kufu, Demik, Brave, and those two TMF dudes for holding our area down HAHA..)….
Anyway, I stopped by my favorite record store “Amoeba” for my weekly diggin ritual…….The only thing I don’t like about this spot is that there are no listening stations…..You better know what the fuck you are looking for or your going to waste some papes amigo…
Other than that they are holding the goods……
When I rock this segment I usually post sampling material, but I am always on the hunt for straight up Hip Hop records as well……..So here we go troopers…
My computer is acting funny……I took pics of the records but for some reason things are not working, so I will just have to find various pics on the web…..
1..B1 & Large Pro – “Put Yourself In My Place”…
Not sure what B1 is up to these days, but I wish he would release more material……Everything I have heard him on was straight flames…From “Take Em To War”, to “Empire Staters”, etc…….
Produced by Kool G….. “Stone Groove Records” ………………Not sure when this dropped (doesn’t say on the record) but I’m assuming between 1999 – 2004……
“Put Yourself In My Place”…
2..Diaz Brothers (Doo Wop & Tony Touch) – “Click Bang”….
Several groups have freaked this sample before (which will remain nameless) but the Diaz dudes do a nice job of wrecking it….I’m surprised I have never came across this hot piece of wax until now…..
Not sure when this dropped (doesn’t say on the record) but I’m assuming between 2001 – 2005……
Perfect for some mixtape burn…Produced by Tony Touch..
“Click Bang”
3..Money Boss Players – “Crap Game”
This song still sounds as good to me as it did the first time I heard it…..It’s a damn shame that Hip Hop production has gotten so soft lately…Joints like this will take you back to the essence of this shit…
Smacking drums, abrasive guitar stabs, and plenty Bronx attitude from MBP………..Already had one copy, finally caught another one…..
Warning Records…..Produced by Minnesota..1996
“Crap Game”
4..Kool G.Rap – “Thugs Anthem” ..
Never heard of this one……Glad to see that it comes with an accapella, but the second dude on the mic just doesn’t make the cut (I actually deleted his verse)…
G. Rap comes equipped with that gun talk, boulevard bully rap…..Not sure when this dropped (doesn’t say on the record) but I’m assuming between 2003 – 2007……
Illstreet / Downlow Records…..
“Thugs Anthem”
I caught some other fresh cuts but I have to keep some jewels for myself….HAHA…
Big up to everyone that comes to the BATTLEFIELD on the daily……..Brace yourself for more blazers this week….If you have music that you want to submit – e mail me at ZJUDAH@YAHOO.COM……I promise that I will give it a thorough listen..
Peace-
D
" Strictly Weapons Remixes "
Hopefully you have on your war goggles, bulletproof vest, and helmets because it is warfare time over here on HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD…
Just like I promised “Strictly Weapons Remixes” – wrecked, sliced, flipped, chopped, stretched, and mangled by yours truly, Drasar Monumental…
Nothing but that raw shit pumping out the speakers kid…….I want to send a big shout out to the GBK Crew, Scratch Shamans, Planet, Kendoo, Mad Miguel, NS, Fooders, Rashad, Shyeer, State, Vex, Kufu and the whole GFC, Sha, Daze and all those WST cats, AYAK (Always Yelling At Kidz), HR, Daily Diggers, Kool Skool, Big D.O., Vietnam, California, Six 2 Six, Cold Rock The Spot, Monz, EC, Riff, Jahmel & Liz, and Viben Onerz & Culpa for lacing the cover….
Make sure you listen to this on a decent system or you won’t hear the true production sciences popping off….Turn the volume past ten, open your windows, and prepare for another hardcore explosion of sample abuse……BLAM, BLAM….
IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU HEAR SPREAD THE MOTHERFUCKIN WORD…….
Tracklist-

" Royal Wedding Mix Flavors "
I have some exciting news for the Hip Hop Battlefield posse…..
Tomorrow I will be launching the “Strictly Weapons” remix assault with all beats handled by the captain of this BATTLEFIELD shit (That’s me fool HAHA)….For some strange reason I believe it’s going to make some fools run for cover when they hear it……..
This is not your average, sleep inducing remix project…..I’m talking about an adventure of hardcore beat manipulation….Taylor made wreck geared towards those that gravitate towards explosive material…
No corny jingles, no wack synth lines, no hollow drums, and of course no sanging/singing on the breaks……..Nothing but raw turbulence and pressure bangin out of the speakers over here my friend…..
If you thought “Remix Weaponry” was dangerous, “Strictly Weapons” is going to make you tremble in your Timberlands…
The artwork is done, the morale is up, and I’m ready to jump off the top turnbuckle….(R.I.P. Macho Man Randy Savage)…..
Anyway, the good dudes over at Fat Lace & Southern Hospitality present the “Royal Wedding” mix with D.J.Superix……..WOW……Do the right thing and check in…
