With this mixtape I’ve tried to take the listener on a journey back to the essence of B-Boyin, an essence far away from organized battles, sports drinks and gymnastics, an essence that is nothing more than you, the floor and the music.

DJing wise I used a system I started putting together for my now sold out mixtape ‘Adventures In Rhythm’ (2009) to put ‘Roots’ together, where each cut of each break is mathematically planned so that everything falls into 2s, 4s, 8s, 16s and 32s making the mixtape ideal for enhancing your musicality at your B-Boy training sessions. The CD is just over an hour long and is made up of 35 tracks. Everything on the CD I have recorded from VINYL! No mp3s, no spotify, no itunes, no CDs, no downloading!
