Even though Hip Hop is alive and well in 2012, their are a few things popping off that make this brother shake his head in disbelief….

I know it’s not politically correct in this era to call motherfuckers out – but I come from a different era where Hip Hop heads would put the “PRESSURE” on you for not being on your square…

Most of these cats will collaborate with ANYONE if the money is right…Don’t get me wrong, I love that brothers can maintain a business without all the middleman (record labels) fuckery….

But what about integrity?

Cats should only collaborate if they have a true chemistry in the studio…I’m growing tired of all these collabs that are obviously fueled by nothing but money……We all have to eat, but this shit is getting ridiculous……

2..“FREE BEATS ON DECK”.

Some of these rap dudes are so self-centered that they believe producers should just give them free beats….

WHAT PART OF THE GAME IS THAT?

You mean to tell me that I spent thousands of dollars on records and equipment, plus decades holed up in the lab studying production for NO type of compensation….GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE…

It’s not even a money issue, it’s a respect issue…..Respect my motherfucking zone – these beats are snapshots of my life…

Everybody is so Hip Hop these days, but no one is hip (YA FEEL ME)….I don’t care how many Jordans you have, I don’t care how many fake Cazals you rock, but I “DO” care if you know your Hip Hop history…

Substance will always prevail over style in my opinion…..Don’t get it twisted : I like to get dipped up just like everyone else, but I own more books than sneakers…..

Back when you were hunting for Bruce Springsteen CD’s, we were already knee deep in heavy duty crate action….This is nothing new to us homeboy….This is not a hobby for us, this is an integral part of our life so stop all the bloodclot posturing…

The internet is supposed to be the information highway, but some of you dudes are on a information cul de sac……

So many blogs post the same exact shit…Maybe it’s payola, or maybe it’s lack of creativity – either way, I long for more original content and music when it comes to this blog shit…

6..“PROMOTER PERPETRATORS”

Don’t be fooled when your homeboy tells you he is going on tour in Europe……Some of these shows are like empty circuses with one rap dude on stage as the performing clown…

HAHA..

These NEW AGE promoters just throw motherfuckers on stage without doing any legwork on the avenue…..If your going to promote, go ahead and do so, but if your intention is to dick ride the artist for future favors, FALL BACK !!!

I’m done ranting and raving for now, I have to do this every once in awhile for anyone out there that still believes in Hip Hop ethics and codes……I’m not a hater, I’m just a lifelong Hip Hop student that has his own opinions….PERIOD.
