KHUFU ONERZ is currently on a aerosol rampage throughout the entire Bay area….For instance he straight up torched the MEETING OF THE STYLES event that took place in San Francisco over the weekend….

WHEW!!

*Click on photos for further analysis…

I also have to send a shout out to the Young Lord “PRIZE” (NS/GFC) for coming correct on his piece as well…Thanks for throwing my name up cuzzo (I SEE YOU)..

When MF GRIMM suggested that me & AYATOLLAH should get together and build – I had no idea that we would have a lot in common…We both make beats, rhyme, engineer, DJ, have a deep respect and admiration for graff, keep our scratch patterns current and sharp, we both are fathers, etc ….

Even though we have a lot in common when it comes to Hip Hop – our approaches are totally different….That’s why I believe the BOXCUTTER BROTHERS series is balanced, entertaining, and a spontaneous listening experience…..Instead of trying to copy cat each other’s style – we both are extremely confident in our own capabilities and respective lanes….

With that being said – BOXCUTTER BROTHERS 3 is on the horizon troopers….We tried a few different things on this one..

1….We both rhyme on one of our tracks each….Please keep in mind DRASAR is an acronym for DANGEROUS. RHYMES. ASSASINATE. SUCKERS. AT. RANDOM…Yeah, I make beats and all that, but when it comes to abusing mic’s I am fully capable…

2…I tried to incorporate more scratch sentences….

3…In my opinion both volumes of “BCB” were very raw and stripped down – but this one is even more ugly….

Anyway, be on the lookout for it’s release on VENDETTA VINYL within the next couple weeks if your still on the hunt for explosive Hip Hop frequencies……

*Also be on the lookout for new material from GRIMM & I in the very near future…

SOUTHERN VANGARD RADIO (Jon Doe & Eddie Meeks) are back on the set with more interview action…This time around they bring THIRSTIN HOWL the 3RD into the mix, for a heavy round of Q&A that will hold your attention…..SALUTE.

“Thirstin Howl – Southern Vangard Radio Interview Sessions
BANG! @southernvangard #‎radio presents the #‎ThirstinHowl interview session! This Brownsville native certainly needs no introduction, but we’ll do one anyway – co-founder of #‎LoLife and originator of the name, #‎MC , #‎film and #‎tv #‎producer and #‎hiphop #‎fashion #‎icon – do we need to say more? We have a nice fireside chat with the #‎PoloRican about his latest project #‎SurvivalOfTheSkillest , it’s promotion delay due to the passing of close friend #‎SeanPrice , and his upcoming #‎book on #‎Polo #‎culture . We go back to the early 80s and discuss Howl’s evolution from a #‎bboy and #‎graffiti #‎artist to #MC , the impact his incarceration had on his pen game and how his job at #‎MTV prepared him for his future in #‎music , film & tv. Thirstin also breaks down life between #‎Miami & #‎Brooklyn , his appearance on #‎SachaJenkins #‎FreshDressed #‎documentary and the launch of the Lo-Life clothing line this year, which is a collaboration with #‎WIllieEsco at #‎Coogi and shoemaker #‎Etonic . All this and more can be found inside – this is #history y’all, cue it up and press play! // southernvangard.com // @southernvangard on #iTunes @soundcloud & @mixcloud // #hiphop #rap #DJ #mixshow #interviews #podcast #ATL #BROWNSVILLE #BROOKLYN #WORLDWIDE

“Atomic Blast” is the 2nd leak from the ALGEMEST album by True Masterz due out in the near future….If I was you, I would put this duo on your radar – they are on a consistent streak when it comes to dropping raw, no-frills material…

If your in the Bay area this weekend, you know the motherfucking drill…

“The place to be the Mission District, commonly called “The Mission”, is a neighborhood in San Francisco named after the oldest building of San Fran, which is located in the neighborhood. Numerous artistic and cultural institutions are based here. Mission Art 415 is proudly hosting the Meeting of Styles in San Francisco, from 10-8 daily, rain or shine.

Mission Art 415 is celebrating the 28th anniversary of Spraycan Art with author James Prigoff at The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts September 18, from 12-6 with a meet and greet book signing along with a guest speaker panel consisting of Mark Bode, Cuba, Eon, Nate1, Crayone and Vogue. The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Art has been Mission Art 415’s fiscal sponsor since 2008. SF Mayor Ed Lee is the keynote speaker along with SFPD, SF Dept of Public Works and the Mission District 9 Supervisor David Campos and Street Art SF’s Jane Bregman”.

I hope that we can get a new album from MILANO CONSTANTINE before the year comes to close – until then, his verse on “Hot Breath” with Sean Price and Lil Fame will suffice…

Raekwon & Diadora linked up earlier this year for the “CAPSULE COLLECTION” to lace all the die-hard OB4CL heads….

FRESH IS THE WORD…

“Launching on the last stop on this years’ “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…” Anniversary tour, the Packer x Raekwon “Purple Tape” Capsule Collection is designed and curated to offer interchangeable styling options that represent the cross-pollination of hip-hop into fashion and heritage footwear. Housed within the collection are the celebratory Diadora N.9000 “Purple Tape” edition , 2 “1995” NY Yankees New Era 59Fifty fitted baseball caps, 1 t-shirt, and 1 Made in Italy track jacket”.

PEEP…

Do you really think it’s a coincidence that RZA rocked the BOBBY DIGITAL moniker years after the original BOBBY DIGITAL had already established himself firmly in Jamaica ? Do you really think it’s a coincidence that Reggie Noble chose the name REDMAN a decade after Jamaican producer Hugh “REDMAN” James laid down heavy groundwork on the dancehall set?

Maybe cats believe the audience are not concerned with history whatsoever and these issues would never come up – Or they just straight up bit their name….

HAHAHA….

Regardless Hugh “REDMAN” James was far from a slouch when it came to composing explosive riddims in the mid 80’s- early 90’s, and this comp of goodness is a fine example of that (Digital Roots Dancehall-REDMAN INTERNATIONAL)…

PEEP…..
