Life is crazy sometimes people……While on a serious digging mission recently, I caught a “Rudy Ray Moore” joint….I have plenty of “RRM” records, but for some reason this piece of vinyl had my name written all over it…..When I finally got back to the lab, I tapped up some new rockets, and even incorporated elements of “RRM” on a “Criminal Scientific Remix” { Check your Hip Hop Battlefield files dun dun }. A couple days later Rudy passed away…….Strange……What’s even stranger is that you hardly see any coverage breaking down “RRM’s” tremendous contributions to music, film, comedy, etc………..Here’s a clip of “RRM” in one of my favorite movies “Disco Godfather”…….R.I.P.

Damn, “D.J.Premier’s” catalogue is so ridiculous at this point that you have to give him G.O.A.T. status…….I can’t think of any cats from his era that have remained this consistent when it comes to hardcore Hip Hop…For nearly 20 years “Preem” has been ringing bells with his signature beats……This is a new joint he just dropped with “Wiz Hoffa” called “I’m Tired”…….100

Out of all the material Kool Keith has blessed us with ever since “Ultra” disbanded {Their reunion album doesn’t even count} “The Masters Of Illusion” album is his best work….With “Doc Oc” trailing shortly behind……On this album with “Motion Man”, they spit some of the craziest, hilarious, out of control, rhymes ever committed to wax……It was released in 2001, and still runs laps around most of his recent material……”Kut Master Kurt ” produced the whole album, and includes some nasty scratch sentences throughout the entire joint…….If you slept on this album when it came out, I suggest you get your mind right and check back in ?

The late great “Paul C” worked with many influential artist, the list includes Stezo, Grandmaster Caz, UltraMag, Super Lover Cee and Cassanova Rud, Rahzel, Mikey D, Large Pro, and countless others before he was killed at the age of 24…..His murder remains unsolved to this day, and was even featured on “America’s Most Wanted”……..Dave Tompkins, wrote one of the best articles regarding “Paul C’ I have ever stumbled across…….Peep for yourself here
