The reason why you come to Hip Hop Battlefield is because you want that official heat, right ? You come over here when you get tired of hitting up blogs that post the exact same shit, right ? HAHAHAHA..

Well your in for a treat this evening JACK !!!

Graff legend “Lord Scotch” aka the artist behind the Operation Doomsday’s cover brings us this heavyweight mixtape (Sounds Collide)….

WOW- It starts off with plenty BK anthems that will make you want to pull out your burner and lick off a couple in the air….And then halfway into the mix it segues into some heavy rudeboy type heat…..

Here is some 2010 D.I.T.C. flavor for you to snatch up…Mr. A.G. pops back up on the set with this new cut, “Why Am I Still Here” which is a ode to Hip Hop’s fallen soldiers…

Give it a listen homeboy..

It’s a damn shame that 805 beatsmith “KanKick” doesn’t get the props that he deserves…After numerous instrumental projects, and guest production slots, you would figure his name would ring more bells…

On this BTS Radio broadcast “KK” displays a wide range of style with his beats….From straight up aggressive bangers to down tempo type of frequencies…

YOU KNOW THE DRILL

If your in the bay area you better do the right thing…May 7th – June 19th.

POW.POW..

Today would have been Roc’s 38th Birthday…

Take some time out to reflect on what this brother did for the art of D.J.ing….Truth be told, he was one of the illest to ever do it…..PERIOD..

We will NEVER forget……….

My peoples over in London “Daily Diggers”, constantly bring funky shit to the forefront on their excellent blog…Instead of following cornball trends, these cats stick to the script and have made a nice lane for themselves over the years…

Last week they dropped another radio broadcast after being on hiatus for several months….My policy is to never post up anything without listening to it, but I will make an exception for these cats because I know for a fact some fly beats will be on deck…

So if you want to start your Monday correctly I highly suggest you give this a listen (ALRIGHT)..

If you glance over to the right side of my blog, you will notice me holding up one of my favorite all-time records…T.D.S. Mob “What’s This World Coming Too” ?

I didn’t just hold that record up for kicks, I held that record up because I wanted to make a motherfuckin statement….The statement is, HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD is anti-toy (YA HEARD)…

HAHAHAHA……A lot of cats talk about “Scratch Reaction” being the hot shit on this single, but “What’s This World Coming Too” always put me under a spell with it’s rough around the edges-sinister vibe…Anyways, go cop that Diggers With Gratitude+T.D.S Mobb 2010 package if you haven’t already…

And while your at it, peep this DWG interview with one of TDS’s original deejays, “MK”……Two thumbs up !!!

TUNE IN

Check out this Stretch & Bobbito show from 1998 with special guest RZA & ODB…..Awww man, this has to be some of the funniest shit I have heard in quite sometime…ODB straight wilds out (Like usual)..

“No holds barred, were jumping from the top rope and banging your head against the turnbuckle son, were not playing..All you derelict, analog, low frequency motherfuckers can’t comprehend dun”..

ACD & L.E.S. also stop by to drop a couple bars…

Peace to Dirty Waters-

Gold Chain Military repper, “Tri-State” dropped this mixtape awhile back…This project comes equipped with features from Brother J, Killer Ben, Chace Infinite, Evidence, Planet Asia, etc…

Hip Hop Battlefield Top Picks-

“Fallen Soldiers”, “It’s Over”, “City Of Quartz”, “Food For Thought”, and “State Ya Name” -despite a couple corny lines like..”My flow is like butter when I get on a roll / the punchlines make your eardrums blow”………….

Never heard of these cats “EcoMog” before…The Kung-Fu motif has definitely been rocked before, so I almost fully dismissed their new album (The Five Elements) without even listening to it….

Something told me to give it a chance…

This cut right here ,”Full Metal Jacket” caught my attention right from the gate with it’s cinematic production..The first two M.C.’s do a decent enough job, but the third M.C. rubs me the wrong way for some reason…Don’t trip though-this song still deserves some burn (ALRIGHT)…

PEEP

The newest issue of Hip Hop connection just hit the web….Interviews with Roc Marciano, H2O Of Mass Influence, Ricky Powell, Flying Lotus, etc…

And if that’s not enough heat for you, make sure you download the free 30+ tracks from some of Detroit’s biggest heavyweights..

Are you in the mood for a couple good laughs ?

Ed Lover keeps the hysterics going with “C’Mon Son 13″….Kat Stacks, Solaar, Ron Artest, and even the “Basketball Wives” get thrown under the bus…HAHAAHA.

TUNE IN.

K.R.S.-One is back to burn with the release of this Beat Minerz produced heat rock ,”Wolves”…..With crazy beats like these, I can’t help but wonder why “B.M.” doesn’t collaborate more with the Duck Down roster ?

Be on the lookout for the “Return Of the Boom Bip” album with Preemo on production….
