" New Blazers "

Last night I decided to give DJ Doom’s latest release a thorough listen (Temple Of Doom)……This cut that features J-Ro, Reks, and the heavily slept on Krumbsnatcha made my Hip Hop antennae activate….

Eerie samples, greasy talk, and a nasty Guru scratch sentence = WIN……..Produced by DJ Doom…

" Prodigy Speaks "

“The Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, “enlightened”) is a name given to several groups, both historical and modern, and both real and fictitious. Historically, the name refers specifically to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776.”

For many Hip Hoppers, the first time they heard anyone mention the illuminati was when Prodigy name dropped the secret society on the, “Who Shot Ya Remix”….

You know the line, “Illuminati control my mind soul and my body / secret society trying to keep their eye on me”…….POW.

Luckily at a young age I was exposed to all types of conspiracy theory literature, which enabled me to think outside of the box while many of my peers were caught up in the average status quo frequencies. Nowadays everyone and their mother are yelling about who is in the illuminati and who isn’t….

“Jay Z is a freemason son, you notice all the dark energy in his videos?”

HAHAHAHAHA…..

I hate to bust your bubble, but it’s way deeper than that kid…Do the research for yourself and come to your own conclusions before you decide to start flapping your jibbs….

Prodigy recently popped up on the Alex Jones show for a couple rounds of gem dropping…..To my surprise, “Banana Clip P” held it down in a thorough fashion without succumbing to the “Scatter Brain Syndrome” that so many others fall victim to while discussing certain so-called conspiracy theories…

" Producer Spotlight : Lewis Parker Edition "

That dude from London, Lewis Parker is a monster when it comes to crafting ill beats on the SP 1200……He has been doing his thing since the 90’s…..

After production placements on Ghostface album (Fishscale & More Fish) as well as John Robinson’s newest project (International Summers) many people in the States have begun checking for his beats….

Earlier this year he released the solid “Dangerous Adventures E.P.” with a roster that includes Sav Kills, Vast Aire, East Coast, Planet Asia, Killa Sha, Tah-Born, on mic duties……

Dope drum programming, intricate sequences, and impressive chops……DO NOT SLEEP TROOPER…

“Murder One” featuring Sav Kills, Vast Aire, T.R.A.C. East Coast, and Baron………Dope shit, my only gripe is that Del rocked the same sample on his stellar “Future Development” album, (Del’s Nightmare)

“Bang” featuring East Coast…

“Great Adventure Instrumental”

And while your at it, peep this interview with L.P. breaking down his production techniques, outlook on Hip Hop, etc….DOPE…

" Sadat X – No Features "

You have to give dap to the great Dot X for constantly dropping new material in the new millennium…..Instead of resting on his laurels and relying on past achievements, he is still in the lab keeping it creative…

And to this day Sadat approaches the artform in a original way with a style that is unbiteable (Yeah, I just made that word up motherfuckers)…

On X’s latest release (No features) their were a couple joints that forced me to hit the rewind button….

“Day Of The Jackal” produced by Will Tell..

“Remember That” produced by Will Tell….

" D.J. Toshi On The Wheels "

Peep the latest episode of “Classic Storm Radio” #97 with DJ Toshi & Che Broadway……You know the drill homeboy..

" Clip Up This Summer "

My dude Polar/Sonny Wong/ Viben Onerz is a god damn beast when it comes to graphics, graff, and comedy…….When we get together the jokes reach all-time high levels..

He has been the creative force behind the cover art for some of my illest projects (Remix Weaponry, Wax Weapons 31, and Strictly Weapons with Culpa One)…..Salute my dude….

Peep these new tees that he cooked up for all the hardrocks walking around the avenue with an ice-grill…..If you want to cop one, you can contact him HERE….………

Polar if your reading this- reserve one of these bangers for the kid..HAHA.

" Mixtape Of The Week- Sample Source Edition "

I’m quite sure you have heard plenty sample source mixes throughout the years……Some are corny and it seems as if their only purpose is to pull producers cards, and violate them by exposing their samples….

Others educate the listener and take them on a journey by paying proper homage to the original compositions….

When I first started hearing these types of mixes in the early 90’s, it got me open….Now in 2011 a DJ has to dig a little deeper in his crates to hold my attention (Many sample source projects recycle the same material these days) ….

Fake Blood (Yeah, I know the name is puzzling) goes all out on his latest mix, “Used Volume One”…….Sure you might hear a couple songs that you heard before, but for the most part he keeps it fresh and unpredictable……Listen to it front to back and get your mind right….

VIA-FAT LACE.
