Unlike a lot of DJ crews out there in 2013 – we firmly believe that scratching is a essential component in being a well rounded DJ…..On a daily basis we are working on our patterns in a attempt to further develop our cutting vocabulary (nothing worse than scratch illiteracy HAHAHA)….

Recently I was watching one of those new age rap battles for personal amusement (yeah the ones where dudes rhyme with no beats underneath them on some WWF shit)….

I must admit, some of these cats are hilarious, while others would sound terrible if they ever stepped in the booth…Anyway, before one of these battles started one of the ANNOUNCERS declared that YOUR boy Drake was in attendance (why I don’t know, he couldn’t slay anyone but himself on the mic)..

Suddenly I caught a glimpse of MAESTRO FRESH WES next to YOUR boy Drizzy….Unfortanately the ANNOUNCER was to busy riding Drakes nuts to even bother mentioning that the Toronto legend (Wes) was in the motherfucking house (shameful in my opinion)….

After that incident I started “flashbacking” to a time when I believed MAESTRO was going neck and neck with some of the freshest MC’s of the early 90’s….For some strange reason cats don’t bring his name him up as often as they should…..
