HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD can strike at any moment so keep your eyes peeled for the wreck on a daily basis….Six years and counting troopers..

I’m just getting started over on this side though..

I have more than a few surprises up my sleeves for 2013….Instead of jinxing myself and unveiling the jewels prematurely – I’m going to keep certain things under wraps until the right moment (YA HEARD)…

Anyway, UK producer Lewis Parker has dropped some dangerous beats over the years…On “Eyes On the Prize” he keeps the dramatics popping..

YEAH THIS IS MORE LIKE IT….

You already know I have been pumping that BOOZE BROTHERS shit extremely heavy for the last couple years….Something about the way Clever One & Him Lo do their thing make me check for everything they drop…

Former Tuff Crew wax slayer “DJ Too-Tuff” provides the production ammo for CLEVER to completely black out with….” I show you how to potty train hoes / playing over here nigga will get your chain stoled “….

” Get your engineer shot, while you chill on a weird block / I catch you coming out of that beer spot “…..

HAHA…

* The intro runs a little long – C.O. starts rhyming at the 1:37 mark..

My manz from CHIRAQ / CHICAGO “Mattrocks” pointed me in the direction of this documentary,”What Ever Happened To Hip Hop” ?..You will see features from KRS One, Kool Keith, Afrika Bambaataa, Slick Rick, Jean Grae, Busy Bee, C-Knowledge, MC Lyte, Gemini, and a gang of other people…

If your already a dedicated Hip Hop student this piece won’t enlighten you, but it’s a decent watch regardless if you have fifty minutes to spare..

Showbiz & AG keep the momentum popping with the release of a new cut entitled “Can’t Wait”…

Turn the motherfucking volume up and catch a zone..

As soon as you hear the intro by BREAKBEAT LOU you know some explosive breaks are going to be in full effect mode…

Lean Rock & B-Ryan bring the breakbeat avalanche on “Ingredients of Flava” part 2 homeboy…..So quit stalling and give this a thorough listen if your on the hunt for some wild frequencies !!!

Here is the second round of the Lord Finesse “Live In Tokyo” session…..For all of those that enjoyed part one, part two will is flooded with groove morale as well..

CHECK IN…

99 % of the time I give a project a thorough listen before posting it up…..I haven’t had a chance to fully analyze Big Twinz’s newest offering “Thrive” quite yet, but I have a feeling he will stick to his usual modus operandi : crime narratives, aimless death threats, disgruntled tough talk and all that other wild shit…

That’s good enough for me as long as the production matches the ugliness…

HAHAHA…

I will give you my top picks tomorrow….

A couple weeks ago I informed you about BLACK I’S producer (Vince Price) hitting me up…I was so pumped up about it I decided to do a little research to see what the Toronto beatsmith is up to…

Just like I thought – he is still cranking out extra raw beats…..

Take a listen to “Addicted” by Infinite with VP on production….TORONTO STAND THE FUCK UP !!!

CHECK IN…

The Nike Windrunner joints first dropped in 1986, but lately they have been dropping some new flavors that have caught my undivided attention…Peep the black panelling and mesh with brushes of orange to highlight the embroidered logos……These TR-2’s are no joke homeboy….

FRESH IS THE WORD…

Kan Kick has managed to create a healthy catalogue over the years…

His brand of off-kilter illness deserves a lot more attention than it currently receives..For instance on last years “Rummage To Royalty” he keeps it unpredictable and dirty..

I’m thankful to be surrounded by a crew of top notch, true to the grain DJ’s….Instead of resting on their laurels – my homeboys are on a constant quest to push their skills to the next level….

Unlike a lot of DJ crews out there in 2013 – we firmly believe that scratching is a essential component in being a well rounded DJ…..On a daily basis we are working on our patterns in a attempt to further develop our cutting vocabulary (nothing worse than scratch illiteracy HAHAHA)….

So next time a big mouth DJ starts flapping his lips – ask him to show and prove on the cuts to see what’s really good…

Anyway, the HANDROIDZ (IQ & Konfusion) are far from slouches when it comes to handstyles….Peep this session from the 2013 NAAM convention for further analysis..

Haven’t talked to the homie INSIGHT in a long time….If your reading this brother, get at me ASAP…

If your unfamiliar with his music, I highly suggest that you start at the SCUM – “SCUM LIVE” 12 inch with T-Ruckus…..It’s a fine example of hardcore drama rap…

SIGHT has a spot that you should check out while your floating around in cyber-space (beats, I-Phone apps, new music, etc)…When you head over there tell him the grimy kid from HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD sent you jack!!!

CHECK IN…..

AWWWWWW YEAH…

The project that MF GRIMM & I rocked “GOOD MORNING VIETNAM” is just about sold out (only five copies left)….I can’t even front, I’m really happy about that shit because we put a lot of effort into it…

We could have just made it a strictly digital release, but we wanted to have wax available for all the cats that stick to the original recipe (YA HEARD)…..At this moment we are hard at work trying to finish up our follow up, “GOOD MORNING VIETNAM 2 – THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE”….

If you thought the first one was dangerous, wait until you hear this shit…It’s going to put some serious pressure on all those Hip Hop weasels out there…

HAHAHAHAHAHA……

The “Be Noble / Time” 7 inch pre-orders are still available over at VENDETTA VINYL VIETNAM.COM…Only 250 autographed copies will be available, so place your orders quickly before they are all gobbled up (shipping early April)….

Big up to everyone that truly supports the wreck (WE SEE YOU)…..

Mr.Len’s newest instrumental offering, “The Marvels of Yestermorrow” dropped today on Highwater Music…

The first official leak (Ultra Shave Kit) packs a heavy punch…..If this is a indication of what he has been cooking up, this project might have some heat on it..
