” Hell Razah : Risen “
The long awaited documentary about SUNZ OF MAN member, “Hell Razah” is now making the rounds..I’m thankful this project has finally hit the light of day…Go track it down and catch some truly inspirational energy troop..
PEEP THE TRAILER-
” Ghostface & Raekwon Shit “
It’s practically impossible to fuck up a strictly GHOSTFACE & RAEKWON mixtape…These two have so many burners in the stash that its ridiculous..Those dudes from out of France (Built To Last) hit us off with almost two hours of Shaolin heaters !!!!!
” Japhia Life : Reup’s “
So many dope record labels have vanished into thin air over the years…The READY ROCK label out of Philly released some heavy releases in the early 2000’s and just disappeared without a trace unfortunately….
Out of their many releases, JAPHIA LIFE’s “Page Of Life” album was noteworthy but somehow it slipped through cracks…His social commentary bars laced with a righteous outlook still sounds solid to my ears…PEEP.
HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD’s TOP PICK – “Precious Memories”…
” PEZO : New 2 You Mixtape “
My cuzzo PEZO recently hit the vaults to unveil a mix session dedicated to our comrade PRIZE ONERZ (RIP)…We miss you young king, the world hasn’t been the same since you were taken from us…

” 2020 : Blaq Poet “
All types of wild shit popping off so far in 2020…Instead of yelling some post – apocalyptic, paranoid type shit, I’m just going to try to maintain and keep my morale up regardless of things I can’t control…
A major part of this mind frame is delving into music like usual…
That dude from Q.B. BLAQ POET adds another piece to his catalogue with the release of “Simon Phoenix”…Here is my top ranking cut from the album “F.O.H”..
Produced by Blaq Poet.
PEEP-
” Kick Rocking “
Out of the collabs that Clark’s have done for the Wallabee series (Doom, Raekwon, Supreme, Staple, etc), my absolute favorite is the ATOMIC Wallabee collab with one of my personal heroes, Mr. FUTURA 2000…It will cost you a pretty penny to track them down, but if you do, consider yourself a lucky man..
” Buckwild : Abandoned Beats “
Remember when PETE ROCK & BUCKWILD had the remix game on smash ?
From “Rock On”, to the “Damn” remix, to “MVP” remixes and a slew of other gems- BUCKWILD was officially that dude for a number of years…You can hear a glimpse of that utter brilliance on his latest instrumental project “Abandoned Beats”, but to be honest, I think he should have put a little more time and energy into this joint…
” Lisaandro : M.A.D.E. “
If your on the hunt for some somewhat new rawness- that kid from Long Island LISAANDRO has been dropping some pretty nasty joints for a minute now….On “My Allies Died Early” he flexes his extreme, muLti- syllable approach over solid production…Give it a listen troopers…

” Tragedy : Laced With Tragedy “
There are so many MC’s that emerged from the late 80’s – early 90’s that could still make waves in the NOW era if they have access to the right beats…TRAGEDY is fully capable on the mic, but for years he decided to rock over mediocre production that actually took away from his greatness with the bars….
Thankfully on his newest release he teamed up with those cats rocking out of Japan (South Paw Chop) for a lovely, sure shot 7 inch head nodder…

” Donald Fagen Speaks “
When I think about the diverse palate of music I was subjected to in my household growing up, I feel extremely lucky….One day my father could be deeply submerged into Reggae tunes…The following day he could be rocking some off the wall Jazz fusion shit..
I vividly remember analyzing Steely Dan album covers in my living room…Whenever he would play one of their selections I can a recall a heavy feeling of melancholy rush over me…Something about their material always reflected deep sadness and reflection to my ears….
After all these years of being a fan of the group I have never heard Donald Fagan speak until now (Grabbed his book Eminent Hipsters a few years back, go track that down if you know what’s best for you)….I highly recommend that you peep the legend delve into all types of jewelry for 45 minutes….RIP Walter Becker.
