” 2015: Rock On “
*Above photo “GMV3” wax on deck.
2014 was the year of heavy craftsmanship..
2015 will be another year of HEAVY craftsmanship…
While some will flip their entire steez in the upcoming year, I’m going to stick to the original recipe and strive to refine and expand on the things I have been doing for the majority of my life..
HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD is alive and well, and for the last 8 years I have dedicated a portion of my time to broadcast material that I believe in…While I make music myself, I feel it is mandatory for any true Hip Hop fan to share and promote other peoples music that is worthy of attention…
It’s impossible to throw me in the “FEELING MYSELF” bag because I am constantly bigging up other artist…Not only do I support other cats, I actually invest in them by BUYING their music (Yeah, I download like everyone else, but I won’t hesitate to buy the hardcopy if available)…
With that being said – GOOD MORNING VIETNAM 3 – THE PHOENIX PROGRAM by MF GRIMM & myself is GAINING MOMENTUM…I want to thank you all for your encouragement, energy, jewels, and support…The GMV series has changed my life in a myriad of ways that were unimaginable to me just a few years ago..
Now that we have your undivided attention were about to launch all types of explosive torpedos at motherfuckers, so stay tuned…
Until then, peep the visuals for our latest single from GMV3 – “Glaciers Of I.C.E.X. / Best Of The Worst, First Of The Last”, a truly amazing piece of work that will place the GMV series in a class by itself…
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours…Look out for your peoples, stay grounded, disregard fuckery, support that REAL LIVE shit, stand up for justice, read a fucking book and turn off your computer every once in awhile, diss wack DJ’s who don’t blend, throw tomatoes at sucker MC’s, respect Hip Hop history, pour out a little liquor for those that didn’t make it to 2015 (RIP JONZ WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU – MICHAEL BROWN – TRAYVON MARTIN)….

You know the drill..
” Call Of The Wild Steez “
My dude CLAAA7 (Lost Tapes) put together a comp of strictly CALL OF THE WILD material that is worthy of your time…It’s a damn shame that the slept on Harlem outfit never received a proper release because the stuff I heard from them was extra rugged…
To this day “Intellectual Dons” gives me an instant ice grill when I play it..

” DJ Pump : Steady Rocking Re-Post “
I posted this DJ PUMP “Steady Rocking Mix” all the way back in 2008, but after catching a flashback and giving it some decent burn recently, it was only right that I rock it again on the battlefield…
This is without a fraction of a doubt – one of the best disco break mixes I have ever heard…Pump runs the gamut on this one with excellent composition, doubles, well placed scratches, and all types of other shit that will keep you glued to every nuance that pops off…..
In recent years PUMP has moved in a different direction, I hope one day he will go back to this steez….
” New Shit On Deck “
” I swear on everything / them berettas singing like an opera if you try to stop the money train “…HAHAHAHA
Peep the visuals to this new cut from KING BOOM, “Lickin”….

” Comedy Relief On Deck “
If your in the mood for a hearty laugh, I highly recommend that you check out ICE-T’s “Final Level” podcast with special guest KOOL KEITH….There are so many hilarious moments during this interview that I literally had tears in my eyes from cracking up…
” Kick Rocking “
SAY WORD….
Much respect and props to the people over at NEW BALANCE for taking kick rocking to new heights with the release of the “New Balance M1500 x Technics SL1200MkII Custom” joints….
Only three pair are in existence so I seriously doubt you will get your paws on these…Regardless, it’s a step in the right direction…
“The New Balance 1500 Made in UK is a model enjoyed by many. The success of the ‘Chosen Few‘ is solid proof, now what do you think about a Customized one ??
Let’s talk about this project “New Balance M1500 x Technics SL1200MkII Custom” directed by Revive Custom, Hip Hop activist, painter, turntablist, sneakerhead and footwear designer from Brooklyn NY whom for many years has worken on many Custom Projects, my dear colleague Psy did a review a few weeks ago of Evan’s ‘Nike Air Force 180 Robinson Custom‘ project.
It is his love for Hip Hop that the concept has emerged, Evan aka Revive Custom pays tribute to the legendary Technics Technics SL-1200′s whose manufacture was ceased in 2010. My man Blair who grew up in the HIP HOP movement, Selecta, Crate Digger and sneaker addict, suggested to Evan to use the New Balance M1500UC as a base shoe.
The realization of this “Custom” is very neat, the color code of the ‘SL1200MkII’ was ingeniously observed and the “Highlights” of the “make-up” are clever.
Here are pictures of this project, only 3 pairs have been produced”..
” Tuesday Sure Shot “
Out of all the songs Wu-affiliate TRUE MASTER has been involved with, “Persian Legacy” is my all time favorite…Instead of staying behind the boards – he grabs the mic for an explosive session of calling out the perpetrators, wack labels, and remedial MC’s….
If this cut sounds familiar to you, you probably heard it on the TONY TOUCH 50 MC’s mixtape….
” Under The Radar Heat “
Years before JADAKISS dropped his mediocre version of “Why”, the slept on crew NY Confidential beat him to the punch with the same motif (Is it a coincidence or straight up biting?)…
Produced by E.Knight..
” New Shit On Deck “
Mr. Lord Digga The Highsmen is on the verge of releasing the “First Bake” EP….Until then, peep the visuals for MR.GREEN cuzzo..
” Hardcore Scratcher Steez “
Be on the lookout for VENDETTA BREAKS in the very near future…Big up to KHUFU ONERZ for the fresh visuals, PLANET ROCKA, FOODERZ, STATE, RIFF, BLAME LO, and all the dudes that still believe in keeping their scratch hand extra warm…
” J-Force : Cadillac Respect “
I’m a little late on this, but I make sure to give a project decent burn before I give it the HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD shine treatment (Unlike a lot of other sites that do not have any quality control whatsoever, HAHAHA)…
The SP1200 chief rocker J-Force drops all types of remix action on “Cadillac Respect”…
” Body Rocking “
Here is the newest broadcast from the VINYL VETERAN CREW….With over 44 tunes to choose from this is well suited for a boost of groove morale troopers….Big shout out to my cuzzo KD out in London..
