" D.J. Slynkee Rocks The Breaks "
Rock Steady Crew representer “D.J. Slynkee” goes all out on this 46 minute breakbeat extravaganza….He starts out a little slow, but he eventually picks up the pace and goes in for the kill…
It’s impossible to not want to hit the floor after listening to this in it’s entirety ….Turn your ghetto blasters to ten and prepare for some heavy rocking folks !!!!!
" Preemo Speaks "
Check out this interview ” P ” did with Fader T.V. recently….

" Style Warz, Part 8 "

" De La Soul : Impossible Mission "
I’m not going to even front, I stopped listening to De La after Prince Paul stopped producing for the trio…Their sound started to sound a little to R & B for my taste…
But a couple years ago I caught one of their live shows and was completely blown away….Pos’s breath control was unbelievable, Plug 2’s energy was off the meter, and Maseo added that extra seasoning to complete the chemistry of the performance…

" Blog Shots 38 "
Every once in awhile I will stumble on a blog that leaves me speechless….The “Ain’t It Good To You” blog made a Hip Hop fiend like myself lose my composure….
Supreme Nyborn, Antoinette, and Positive K compilations…..Well thought out write ups….Interviews, mixes, Hip Hop history 101, and this nice selections of songs from the Audio Two (Milk Dee has one of the illest voices in Hip Hop) made my day…..
And while your at it, make sure you stop by D.J. Dee- Ville’s excellent blog when you get a chance cousin…..
" In Full Gear 2010 "
I’m going to take you cats all the way to the foundation of this thing we call Hip Hop….Sedgwick & Cedar (Bronx N.Y.) hold down the fort when it comes to that fresh apparel…
When you head over there tell them that kid from HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD sent you trooper…
" D.J. Monk- One Rocks The Breaks "
If you want to add a little boost to your Tuesday morning, I suggest that you swoop up this break mix by “Monk-One” (Breaking Rocks)….
Instead of hitting us with the “usual suspects” breaks- he keeps it interesting by adding a couple secret spices (HAHA)….And for all you beat nerds out there, there are plenty open drums for you to flip out over…..
Quit stalling JACK !!!!!
" D.J. Yahtz : Payback’s A Mutha "
Never heard of this cat “Yahtz” before, but he does a decent job on this new mix……One thing that caught my attention from the gate is that he took the time to blend every song (Thank you)….
However, there are a couple questionable tracks that should have been left on the shelf….Other than that- it was a enjoyable listen…Find out for yourself duke..

" Five Sunday Sure Shots "
Today I’m going to bless ya’ll with a handful of joints that should keep your bell ringing….Big shout out to the people that check Hip Hop Battlefield on the motherfucking daily !!!!!!
1. N.Y. Confidential- “Backstabbed”…………….No this is not Mobb Deep, but it sounds like it could have been made during the “Infamous Era”……This is straight gutter, crime story, box cutter in the hand rap….I could listen to this type of stuff all day…
2. Kool Sphere- “Blue Collar M.C.’s” (Featuring A.Z.)………..I’m digging this…
3. Kool Sphere- “Serial Killa”……….Sounds like the kid “Sphere” has a couple heaters on his hands…
4..Roc Marciano- “Tearz”………It took awhile for me to get used to Roc’s double time flow on this one, but after he said, ” If ya’ll keep playing with my money someone is going to get busted in their motherfuckin head “, I knew this was a keeper…..Plus he made the beat so I can’t front…..
5..Asamov- “Hookslide”……..Willie Evans Jr.’s crew put out some decent material over the years…It’s unfortunate they didn’t garner the attention that they deserved…….Peep…..
" Drasar Monumental Remix Action "
Sometimes when I sit down at my sampler things come together really quickly…Ideas pop up and I am able to execute at a fast rate…Other times I will hover over my M.P.C. for days working on one single sequence….
This remix that you are about to hear took me four days to fully tap out…I don’t like to pat myself on the back, but this piece of weaponry is highly explosive !!!!!!!!
The U.N. gang get the remix treatment this time around kid- (D.O.A.)….Instead of rocking the same beat for the entire song, I decided to switch things up and bring different beats along to keep the momentum pumping (HAHA)….So for all you A.D.D. motherfuckers I got you covered, don’t trip…
You know how I do over on the BATTLFIELD : Angry undertones, war drums, a serious as fuck disposition, machete chops, unsuspecting segues, dramatic movie samples, and all that other grimy shit….
No kits, no keyboards, no goofy synths, and definitely no nonsense…..
" Burn Your Face Off "
The thing that’s so funny about the blog “Game”, is that you never know who’s reading your post…..Recently a friend of mine that I lost contact with, stumbled on my blog and decided to hit me up….
I’m not going to say what his real name is because he lives his life on the edge (You feel me)….So I’ll just use one of his many aliases: “Sonny Wong” is one of the most humble cats that I know….His skill level is out of control, but you will never hear him flapping his lips about how he is GETTING IT IN !!!!!!!!!
My dude is all about action….No nonsense, just a show and prove type of steez……Check out these burners to see what the fuck I am talking about son…..
Salute to you “S.W.” for keeping those flames burning….
" 7A3- 2010 "
I always wondered whatever happened to Bretty B & Seanie B ?.. They put out some decent material as 7A3, Muggs eventually started Cypress Hill, and the rest is history….
But whatever happened to the blood brothers who migrated from N.Y. to L.A. in search of Hip Hop stardom ?
* Muggs also unveils unreleased heaters from the 7A3 vaults….Do not snooze !!!!
" R.I.P. Malcolm Mclaren "
When I was growing up- I mainly listened to three different genres of music: Reggae, Punk/Hardcore, and of course Hip Hop…The B-Boys around my way were quick to hop in a mosh pit and slap someone upside the head…..Or roll up spliffs while listening to some Hugh Mundell ….
We looked at these three forms of music as rebellious and naturally gravitated to the abrasive frequencies that they provided for our youthful angst…..
It seems as if Malcolm Mclaren embraced this outlook as well….Not only was he the brains behind seminal punk rock outfit ” Sex Pistols “, he also collaborated with different Hip Hop artist over the years (Supreme Team, R.S.C., Afrika Bambaataa, etc)….
Who could ever forget the legendary video for Buffalo Girls ?…
Rest In Peace Malcolm Mclaren- A true pioneer, taste maker, visionary, and creative genius…
