" Monday Hip Hop Morale "
While scoping out the Crates Of AG blog, I stumbled onto a fresh remix project by a cat that goes by the name, “Debonair P”……His beats match up with the vocals perfectly, he rocks nice arrangements, and “P” even took the time to add some scratches to assist on the momentum factor…
It’s not often that a remix project captures my attention these days, but this joint kept me listening from front to back…..If your looking for some Monday Hip Hop morale, do the right thing JACK !!!!
" New Shit On Deck "

" It’s Murder "
Damn, this is the type of shit you listen to right before you toss someone off a bridge….
DJ 7L let’s off a barrage of drama on this conceptual project, “Music To Be Murdered By”……Library records, soundtracks, and all types of sinister sounding textures get tossed into the stew….
Give this a listen if you know what’s best for you….BLAM,BLAM…..
" Diamond D Speaks "
Recently legendary producer Diamond -D sat down with Complex magazine for an in-depth breakdown of some of his illest beats……Salute to you Diamond for showing all these cats what diggin in the crates is all about….
" Fresh Is The Word, Part 5 "
When I copped a boom box Flud watch a couple years back, I had no idea it would garner so much attention from people (Mainly females)…..I didn’t get it to be hip, I copped it because I actually thought it was fresh…
It’s the first watch I have ever owned as a matter of fact….
Now Flud is back with an Akai MPC sampler type watch that I have to pick up with a quickness……If you want to scoop one one yourself,
" Muro Rocks The Breaks "
It’s been awhile since I posted up one of Muro’s mixes, so I decided to dig in my bag of goodies and pull out some treats for all of those that check the BATTLEFIELD on the regular….
Muro comes equipped on this break beat explosion ( Super Funky Rock Breaks 1 )…….When it comes to finding raw drum breaks many producers automatically run to the funk/jazz section of the record store….But truth be told I have found plenty open drums on certain rock records that blew my god damn mind…..
If your looking for some Monday beat morale, you just found it trooper….Over an hour of heavy percussion…..DONT SLEEP..
" Blog Shots 48 "
* Above photo taken from Izze’s blog…
The Wild Style Technicians crew ( Izze, DAZE, Zone, Sake, etc ) have been holding it down in Southern California for over a decade..Instead of following trends, these guys keep their designs straight B-Boy without all the extra nonsense….
They also sponsor the Battlefield Funk radio show and keep us laced all year around with explosive garments….
Check out Izze’s blog while your floating around in cyber-space if you want to see ill pieces, flicks, and all that other wild style shit…Make sure you tell him that grimy dude from HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD sent you jack !!!!!
" Battlefield Funk Radio – Download "
* In the above pic- Big Mark, Myself, Chef, and P (Funk What Ya Heard)…
What do you get when you combine HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD with FUNK WHAT YA HEARD ?
Motherfuckin chaos on the turntables…..Mad Planet and I started the radio show in 2009 and rocked on U-Stream for over twenty joints……We didn’t have a plan or an agenda, all we wanted to do was have fun on the decks and rock joints that we enjoyed…
No formats, no concepts- just off the dome, extra live mixing sessions….A wise man once told me, “Real live dudes, do real live things”………So we took heed to those words and always kept it unpredictable and spontaneous…..
It’s been awhile since we splashed cyber-space with a heavy dose of artillery ( We are both extremely busy these days )….
Don’t worry though trooper, we have a show planned real soon so keep your eyes peeled……Until then, check out this MP3 from 1/14/10 of two and a half hours of comedy, blends, doubles, accapella flips, trivia, and all that other fly shit….
I remember this show very well….I just had four wisdom teeth pulled out, could barely talk, and I was dealing with an enormous amount of pain at the time….HAHA…
Anyway, big up to everyone that peeped the shows in the past, we see you……
" New Shit On Deck "
Bush Master Music 1 was my top pic on Blaq Poet’s new album, but here is a little bonus to promote the instrumental package they have brewing up….
“Bush Master Music 2” with Roc Marciano, Blaq Poet, and Wais P…..FRIDAY FIREPOWER…
Be on the lookout for more ammo today….
" The Triumphant Return Of Sucker Of The Week "
WHAT PART OF THE GAME IS THIS ?
A couple years ago I had a “Sucker Of The Week” column on the BATTLEFIELD….I would take the time to pop a blog shot at well deserving targets, and put a spotlight on some of their cornball antics…
It could be a wack lyric, or a straight biter situation…..Or even blatant selling out or any other random act of fuckery that made me blow the whistle and cry foul….
Somewhere along the line I grew bored with the idea and I scrapped the whole shit…..I figured why waste time dissing these herbs, when I could be more constructive by bigging up music that deserves more attention ?
YA HEARD….
Every once in awhile though I spot something that puzzles me to the point where I have to resurrect the “Sucker Of The Week” Modus Operandi……
AWWW MAN, this clip right here is wrong for sooooo many reasons…
If you do not get angry after watching this, you are probably a motherfuckin sucker………HAHA.
