” The Return Of Blog Shots “
Every once in awhile I will shoot you in the direction of other blogs / sites that are holding the goods..DEFY NEW YORK is a spot you should peep while your floating around in cyber space….
Vintage pieces, heavy sneaker obsession, excellent write ups, etc….When I scoped out this pic of a very fresh Sergio Tacchini track suit – I felt it was my duty to spread the word….
” New Shit On Deck “
A couple weeks ago I posted up a fresh new cut by AKBAR, “Tommy Sheppard”…So it’s only right that I splash ya’ll with a few more 2012 AKBAR shots….
Dude hasn’t lost a step if you ask me….Listen up.
“Seven” produced by Parker Lee..
“Teacha Will Appear” produced by Parker Lee..
“Good Food”
” B-Boy Machine Is No Joke “
B-Boy Machine (KILLAFORNIA / ZULU KINGZ) is far from a slouch when it comes to getting busy on the floor…Matter of fact, his aggressive style intimidates sensitive B Boy’s all across the globe…
If you think I’m bullshitting, peep the trailer for his DVD and get your motherfucking mind right !!!
* Hit the mute button before watching….HAHA.
” Library Records Wreck “
I’m going to take you all the way to Italy this time around…
Heroin In Tahiti (yeah, that’s a bugged out name) assembled a collection of Italian cinematic drama on “Musica Per Sonorizzazioni” from 1969-1976….
If your in the mood to hear some excellent sample source material, or if you just want to hear some grooves to trance out to – you just found it trooper…

” Unreleased Jewelry “
Just got done listening to the snippets from DJ Crucial’s “Retro Active” EP…..A couple joints made my Hip Hop antennae go off instantly, especially that Large Pro & MF Grimm cut…
HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD TOP PICKS – “United”, “No Question”, “Essence”, “Struggle”, and “Sweetest Revenge”…
LISTEN TO SNIPPETS & COP THE VINYL HERE…
” New Shit On Deck “
” I’m not anti-social / I just don’t fuck with you “……
SAY WORD…….The great dot X keeps it popping for 2012 with the release of “The Fan” off of Bazooka Joe’s SLANG PARADE project……
Peep the visuals…
” Chill Rob G Speaks “
One of the Flavor Unit’s most well rounded MC’s was CHILL ROB G….
His vocabulary was massive, he was also a fully capable battle MC, but instead he mostly rocked well thought out social commentary type of bars….Not only that, when it comes to the art of storytelling he was truly in a class by himself (take a listen to “Court Is In Session” again for further analysis)….
My man 50 grand “KID DYNO” from Daily Diggers recently caught up with the New Jersey legend for a interview that will hold your attention….
” KID DYNO: Please could you fill us in with details of your new track with DIAMOND D, and tell me how you guys first hooked up on this project?
CHILL ROB G: I met Diamond through The 45 King, he always had some of the illest tracks so it was definitely something I wanted to do… I was just hyped he said yeah to be honest. Let me come right out and say this particular track (Excitement) might be new to the world but I’ve been sitting on it for some time now. I have a couple more unreleased joints that I’ve been baby sitting and their all going to finally see the light of day”.
” Tuesday Funk Mode “
In the last couple years I have noticed that the bar for DJing has gotten extremely low….I hear cats trainwrecking, picking the wrong selections, and my favorite : dudes standing behind the decks with a self righteous attitude without actually blending one song for an entire evening…
HAHAHA…
No doubles, no mixing, no composition, no scratches, no motherfucking respect for the artform….You don’t have to be on Q-Bert’s level, but in 2012 I expect DJ’s to bring some motherfucking skills to the tables..
And what’s up with these cornball selections…..I don’t want to hear “UNITY” by Queen Latifah at the jam….Nah, I don’t want to hear “Funky Cold Medina” in the discotech duke !!!!!
Hip Hop has been around for 30 plus years so it shouldn’t be to difficult to put together a creative set…..
Anyway, the FUNKY PRESIDENT ” J Rocc ” comes equipped with another round of goodness on Tasters Choice # 6….
Don’t sleep…

If you missed it the first time around, here is your chance to scoop up this 45 minutes of straight wreck….All vinyl, all rugged, all laced with the proper HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD spices….
