" For All The Wu- Headz, Part 9 "

Check out this video from Wu-affiliate “Dom Pachino”…..Good to hear him speaking with some substance on the track…..

TUNE IN…(Righteous Seed)

" Q-Unique Newness "

In this day in age, most cats don’t even really listen to albums….They might skim over a couple tracks real quick, but most people don’t give an album the proper shelf life anymore….

I can remember a time when a sure shot single, would get burn for years before the song was labeled passe…..With that being said, “Q-Unique’s” album deserves a thorough listen……He even stepped up to the plate with his production, and contributed the best beats on the album…….

On this cut entitled “Mr.Lopez” -produced by Q, the song is broken down into three parts…What more do you guys want ?…..He made the beat, told a ill crime story, and even drops a few jewels for all you fake hardrocks out there…..Two thumbs up….

“Mr.Lopez”…..

" All New Hip Hop Week "

Nothing but brand new Hip Hop on the BATTLEFIELD this week ya’ll…..

If it wasn’t released in 2010, it’s going to be put on hold for the next seven days….WHY ?…..Because I feel like it..Nothing more, nothing less….So enough of the rambling, let’s get into this..

In 1995, I wise man once told me, ” Yo, you can NEVER front on K.R.S.-One son “……..And to this day I fully believe in that sentiment…..Don’t get it twisted: I would love for him to rock over better beats (Doesn’t everyone), but if you go back and listen to all the albums he has put out- there are jewels on each and every one of them……

Salute to the blastmaster for holding down the fort for over 20 years…..If you haven’t seen K.R.S.-One live, you need to do that at least once in your lifetime….Or you are SLIPPING !!!!!

“Who Da Best”- produced by JS-1……………….You can’t even try to tell me that this is not fresh…..I wish he would rock over this type of production more often…

And his new album with Tru-Master (Meta-Historical) has a couple heatrocks as well……….Go find out for yourself…

" Hip Hop Battlefield Remix Series "

All right folks, fasten your combat helmets and brace yourself for some remix shock treatment….

When it comes to making beats, I approach it from a D.J. standpoint..I’m a D.J. first and a beatmaker second…Matter of fact-the only reason why I make beats is because I analyzed so many records over the years, that I felt production was a natural progression..

So listen to this new batch of chaos from the Hip Hop Battlefield torture chambers…..All samples, all abrasive, all gully…

Grand Daddy I.U.—- “Slanging Bass”

" Drasar Monumental Remix Action-Repost "

Every time I play this remix for my peoples, I get the response that I am looking for…Usually they start panicking and their eyes look like they are about to explode, as the tension levels get higher and higher….HAAAHAAHA…

That was all by design…..I posted this up earlier this year, and I feel this remix rocket deserves another launch off !!!!!

Here is the original post…..ENJOY..

Alright folks, it’s time for me to pull out the crazy flame thrower remix shit to melt your ear drums off !!!!!!

Since I was away from my sampler for a couple weeks- I decided that today I had to go in the lab and construct some aggressive, UFC, type heat…And who sounds more aggressive than the MASH OUT POSSE ?

You know how I do on the remix tip….NO corny synths, NO hollow sounding drums, and definitely NO half-stepping….If your looking for some angry frequencies to boost your Hip Hop morale, you just found your theme music…

” Boom, Boom Boom, there you go bastard / murder international, custom made caskets “…….

“Pounds Up”- Drasar Monumental Remix

" Get Off The Bozack, Part 2 "

Yesterday I came across a site that tried to rock Hip Hop Battlefield as their name…..Only one problem, I have been up and running for almost three years, and it seems as if they just got started- so I know they straight bit my shit…

So if you google Hip Hop Battlefield, my spot will pop up and right under me you will notice these other dudes site…..It seems as if they are on some type of Crumping, Jerking, cornball type of steez…..They even use lame words like swaggerville, and dance crews..

HAHAHAHA…….

If they are doing things for the Las Vegas youth, and enriching the community with their so-called battles- more power to them..But biting is not allowed in any capacity in my opinion……Needless to say that I am a little puzzled by their moves, now I can never move from a blogspot to a .com because they basically housed my shit (Even though I never planned on doing such a thing)….

I’m not mad…..I’m just puzzled at this whole scenario……..Regardless, I am the DON of this Hip Hop Battlefield ship kid……

Enough of my rambling, let me get to the goodies by “Constant Deviants”—Problem Child…

" Friday Meditations: Roy Ayers Mix "

I’m going to be honest, I didn’t have the chance to sit down and fully digest this mix quite yet…..Most of the time I will not post something up until it passes the HIP HOP BATTLEFIELD seal of approval, but I will make an exception today because the tracklisting looks insane….

Roy Ayers is a certified musical genius that has put in a tremendous amount of work over the years…….That alone should prompt you to investigate this mix to analyze his compositions…..

Enjoy……Peace to Blackout..

Author Alain “KET” Maridueña delves into the life and times of Part One with exclusive essays on growing up in Spanish Harlem in the 70s and 80s, the mid 70s style writing developmental years, The Death Squad years and the legendary Hall of Fame New York.
